Stony Brook Woods Frequently Asked Questions

Are there Homeowner Dues?

Yes.  Each year our Homeowners receive an invoice on or about January 16th for an Annual Assessment due by February 15th.  This annual fee is used for landscaping and maintaining our 3 Entrances, maintaining our Grounds and Private Roads,  and general beautification of the Neighborhood.

Are there parking restrictions?

Yes.  No trailer, truck, motorcycle, commercial vehicle, camper trailer, camping vehicle, or boat can be parked or kept on any lot at any time unless housed in a garage or basement.  No automobile which is inoperable can be habitually or repeatedly parked or kept on any lot (except in the garage) or on any street in the Subdivision.  No trailer, boat, truck, or other vehicle, except an automobile, can be parked on any street in the Subdivision for a period in excess of twenty-four hours in any one calendar year.  No automobile can be continuously or habitually parked on any street in the Subdivision.

Are there special parking restrictions during bad weather such as snow or ice?

Yes.  There needs to be a clear path for the salt or plow truck to service all streets in the neighborhood.  When snow or ice is expected, all vehicles need to be parked in the homeowner's garage or driveway.  The company that provides our snow and ice removal service is not responsible for any damage to any vehicle left parked on the street.  During this time it is important to keep any trash/recycle containers off the street, as well.
